why he was considered/considered himself funk at times was baffling to me. And why the folks at school fixiated on Lady Cab Driver who actually will pick up black males, was odd to me. I mean the song is great, one of his best, but it wasnt 'funky' to listen to as an excuse to listen to Prince without being clowned. It didnt have that deep funk bass that I attributed to funk back then.

I think Newpower Soul is a good album.

I'm not sure if saying something positive about Prince is blasphemy.. more like a controversial opinion. Anway, I just want to agree with the person who said Newpower Soul is a good album, and also add, to BobGeorge72, Chaos and Disorder is my favorite Prince album.

1. I think he did fall off after Wendy and Lisa, The Revolution was the best thing that happened 2 him!

2. Money changed him, instead of upgrading his wardrobe y instruments, he should had paid his peoples!

3. He should give back 2 his community

4. He should interact more with his fans instead of being so distant if u will!

5. Some of the 90's recordings were wack!

2. Out of 100's of employees, only a few have had issues regarding payment

3.He has always given back to his community. ake up. Marva Collins etc etc thats arely if ever reported or known.
