Welcome 2 America Concerts Gross? W2A... How much $ money has brother P made from the Start of the W2A Tours, starting from the beginning at end of 2010 in NJ/NYC until August 17, 2011 Hallenstadion, Zurich, Switzerland????
Anybody have a good guess? Either way seems like he's added considerably to his bank roll! [Edited 8/29/11 10:30am]

Well we know he's made enough to keep searching for Love. It's an uphill climb to the finish line.

We won`t get official numbers for all the concerts because only the first ones from New York and Oakland were reported to billboard box office. Apparently Prince did not want to tell them how sales went or make them official. But via prince vault i was looking at the attendance for the W2A Euro Tour and approximately 450 000 to 500 000 people saw prince in Europe this year. Then they were about 200 000 to 250 000 people durng the LA Forum shows and about 90000 in the New York Area ( 4 concerts at MSG and 2 in East Rutherfod). Then they were 6 concerts in the carolinas plus 3 more in california. I would say about 480 000 to 500 000 tickets were sold for all US concerts approximately.
So that makes nearly 1 000 000 million people in attendance. How much is the gross now? Many tickets in LA were cheap (25$), but the other tickets quite expensive...in the US and in Europe. i paid in NYC 200$ and in Zurich, Cologne nearly 100€ (150$)... So the tour grossed at least € 60 million to € 80 million , so up to $ 100 million

It's about a matter of time before no one is allowed to discuss or release his concert earnings....

I understand that this is a VERY ROUGH estimate based on available info. Good job. This is on the assumption that every ticket available was sold. And lets not forget that not every dollar goes to the performers. In union towns like L.A. and New York/ Jersey, about 25% is going to stay at the venue through labor etc. Throw in the percentage that the ticket vendors get off the top for distribution and we are looking at maybe 60% of that goes to the artist IF he has negotiated a good deal. Take what is left and kick 54% of that back to Uncle Sam in the USA and 61% to the Queen in Europe by way of taxes, and we are dealing with real numbers.

Thank you! But to correct you: It is not on the assumption that every ticket available is sold. Because of course not every concert was sold out. Also due to the late anouncement of the shows, little promotion... The numbers would be higher if every ticket available would have been sold. For example in Paris he sold about 50 000 tickets instead of 80 000 possible. I also think prince negotiated a very good deal, so his percerntage is probably very high.

Besides that, this tour didn't have an expensive stage, lots of dancers or something like some other artists have. At the end, i thing makes some good money

In other words this won't hurt him much to pay the following
Judge: Prince should pay $4M in NY perfume lawsuit
NEW YORK -- A New York court says Prince should pay almost $4 million to a perfume company that claimed he hobbled its efforts to market a perfume named for one of his albums. A court referee recommended a roughly $3.95 million award last week. The award would have to be confirmed by another judge. Prince's lawyer hasn't responded to phone and email messages left Friday. He told the New York Law Journal the "Purple Rain" singer and songwriter would fight to keep the suggested award from being confirmed. Revelations Perfume and Cosmetics Inc. says it licensed the Minneapolis musician's name and likeness and the album title "3121" to market its fragrance in 2006. The Huntingdon Valley, Pa.-based company says Prince broke promises to help promote the scent after its July 2007 launch.
