I presume you meant 'funky'. But even if you did, this song is not funky. Or at least, not funky in the way I like my funk.

Yeah definitely give it a listen it's always best to make your own mind up, it's got some funky little songs such as hot wit u, baby knows and pretty man always makes me smile...see if you can find the baby knows/prettyman performance from TFI FRIDAY he's the only man that can say 'don't hate me 'cos I'm beautiful and get away with it

I think he stayed very true to "Prince" with what he did with it. Make it sound completely different than the original in a way that sounds like a slap to your face until you get used to it.

I think that's what defines Prince music to me.

Good Prince music: Sounds a bit shocking like a cold slap when you first hear it like it's a bit off in some way, but then when you get used to it, it sounds great.

So true. On first hearing you think its kind of corny. But, its very infectious, a great party tune. I just love it. The reverse can be said of Hot Wit U. When I first heard this I thought it was so slammin'. Now I'm kind of tired of it, but Everyday, Sily Games, and I Love U But I Dont Trust U Anymore I just completely love.

Its so weird; as Prince music (see how I'm not just saying Prince) fans (supposedly), it seems alot of you like/dislike the Prince stuff that non Prince fans would predictably like/dislike. I mean, from another thread someone posted that they hated the second half of Continental i.e Tell Me How U Wanna B Done, but I love that second half, I always skip through to this bit, way more better than the noisey (sorry, its the only way I can describe it) first half.

I love the Sheryl Crow original version very much.

Prince's version is a disaster... very true.
