"Compassion" reminds me of "Cybersingle" - Uptempo songs with very little substance I guess Prince was trying hard to succeed with an uptempo song as opener for 20Ten:
But this song is a fail, like "Cybersingle" with very little substance.
Don't you agree..

Compassion is great. Cybersingle needs to grow on me.

A lot of Prince's newer songs are nice for the first few seconds, but quickly fall apart because they have no substance and are boring. Whenever I hear a new Prince song, I can't help but think of 80's Prince and turn it off. | |

"Compassion" is a throwback to a 70's musical style to my ears, with the token claps thrown in to appease "Prince" fans. I actually like it a lot. That song melody and pace would not be out of place in a musical like "Hair" or even something crazier like "Rocky Horror -" My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid

I love "Compassion" it has a fantastic hook about it, BUT I can't lie to you...IT DID HAVE TO GROW ON ME. Haha..But I love the guitar riffs, and the lyrics! HahaYeah Compassion is weak...not a crappy song but just not much there, good or bad. | |

I think Compassion is a very good song. It's catchy, it has meaningful lyrics and the music is good throughout the song but especially towards the end.
I like Cybersingle too but definitely prefer Compassion. | |
