Look what I got today!

Has anyone read it yet, it looks new and it looks great, is this the best new Prince book since the Vault and Alex Hahn?

I am pretty ecited about it, its going to make a great addition to the collection.

Be honest in what you think of it.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

it's pretty average, and mainly a somewhat updated version of The Vault ...

You'd better check the Ronin Ro's book Inside The Music And The Masks, which is far better !!

^^ I think it is a very large distance away from being an updated version of The Vault.

I too found it to be an average book. (I finally got round to reading it)

It is what it is though, it's ok, but don't expect near the amount of info given in other books.

It would also have been nice if the publisher could have employed a proof reader as there are spelling mistakes everywhere.

Just finished reading it. Good book, not a fan-boy type of thing in the way it was written.

True. Some of the errors (Grand Slam and RoundHouse Garden) are pretty glaring.

I can't say you guys really like it much, so far its alright, I mean every book is going to rehash the arly stuff the same, this one is better as it does not dwell on his early years. I suppose it needs to be condensed since they are covering more turf and time and like every book since Liz's 1998 Slave to the Rhythm, they have had to analyse his so called decline.

Still its got faults, a whole cover page for each chapter (Which is usually 6 or less pages long), means the guy is definitely trying to space the book out and I agree it offers nothing new. I am assuming the Ronin Ro book is the new one coming out?

I find Chaos & Disorder to be better than Slave To The Rhythm, that book was a chronological mess.

I saw this in WHS Smith last week and have been trying to make my mind up about getting it, I think I will order it off amazon, cheaper for starters and get one or two of those other books mentioned to here recently, the "The Lyrics Of Prince Rogers Nelson/: A Literary Look At A Creative, Musical Poet, Philosopher, And Storyteller" looks like a very interesting one...

If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.
