Why not a Prince documentary like Pearl Jam 20? I DVR'd the Late Night w/ Jimmy Fallon show from Friday w/ Pearl Jam, just watched it today. Cameron Crowe, the director of "Almost Famous" and an avid music fan, was on - his documentary on Pearl Jam is coming out. Pearl Jam is an awesome live band, but by all acounts, Prince is great live too (or was, depending on your perspective - but no dispute there's some excellent live performances out there, footage), there must be lots of great stories of aftershows & run-ins w/ other artists, etc after all these years, and he's a virtuosos musician, so it'd be interesting to see him in the studio or playing other instruments. Why no good, definitive documentary on him? I'm thinking someone like Martin Scorsese could direct - he did one on George Harrison, and he did the PBS The Blues series. He's a music fan too. I guess if it were someone like that, P would absolutely have to back off and give the director the reins, 'cause no one can boss Scorsese around. But that's what would make it so good & interesting. (Btw, Pearl Jam is awesome, when are they coming to L.A.?) | |

Well, there's that 21 Nights documentary that was included on that purple iPod that somebody was supposed to win after buying that Opus book. But I'm not quite sure what happened to that. Anyone ever actually seen that documentary? lol.

yeah it's great isn't it, the nearsest to an official one we've had. Some of the footage is awesome. She Believed in Fairytales and Princes, He Believed the voices coming from his stereo
