Help Me Decide on NPG Club

Please Help Me,

I am a disconnected Prince fan. I always been atracted to Prince's music lyrically first and intrustmentally second. I realize that he is one the greatest musicians in the world but what the music world need right now is someone who can write great music that includes great instrustmentals and meaningfull (and not always cryptic) lyrics. I very cautious when come to subscribing to anything and Prince's latest musical direction worries me. Prince's work released through the normal outlets is not easy to get to say the least. It is also my judgement that the few things that have got out through normal outlets has lacked lyrical content. So NPG Club members please offer your honest evaluation the latest Prince material based on the quality of the lyrics. I haven't had the chance to sample any of his online releases. Please help me make my decison on whether or not I join the NPG Club. Rave and Rainbow Children are the last albums that I have really had the chance to sit down and evaluate. I didn't care much for either of them lyrically. Please use this scoring system :
Lyrical Scoring System

10 Very Best: Examples--Sign of Times, Adore, Crystal Ball Diamonds and Pearls, I Would Die for You, Money Don't Matter 2 Nite, 7, God Created Woman

8 Very Good: Examples -- Nothing Compares to You, Lady Cab Dirver, Kiss, Lovesign, P-Control, Don't Play me, Mountains

7 Fairly Good: Examples--Pope, Cherry Cherry, Take Me with You, Erotic City, Style, Come

5 Average : Examples -- Peach, Race, PoomPoom, The Truth, Scandalous

3 Poor: Examples-- Baby Knows, Get Your Groove On, Face Down(good & funky lyrically poor)

1 Worst: Example -- New Power Generation, PartyMan, Get Loose,( I realize that it is a dance and I do like it but lyrically it isn't good of course it was written to make you move not to make you think

First, there might not even be a 2003 NPG Music Club . . . you might've missed your chance.

You mentioned that you don't care for The Rainbow Children or Rave, in which case you really didn't miss much in the first 2 years of the NPGMC (lyrically).

A few songs from the NPGMC that you should hear:

U Make My Sun Shine
When I Lay My Hands On U

I'd recommend that you try to hear One Nite Alone (the piano demo, not the live box set). There are a few songs - probably 3 or 4 - that would range in your "fairly good" to "very good" and Avalanche, which would rate "very best".

There are also several that would rate as "poor" or "average" on that disc.

I've actually gone off WILMHOU a bit with time,I dont like his singing on it much and the jittery chorus wears a bit thin after repeated listening
Check out Chocadelica , updated with Lotusflow3r and MPLSound album lyrics April 2nd 2009 :
