I was just watching it, and it seemed to me that Prince wanted to show people his diverse dance skills. I've never seen Prince dance the way he did in that video.

I've never seen Prince dance so much in a video, maybe "Kiss" but "Thieves In The Temple" had way more dancing. Matter of fact, why did he all of a sudden start doing choreographed dancing in his videos? Starting with "Batdance". Was that a trend at the time?

Needless to say, I think that was his best dancing. Including "Kiss" and "I Wanna Be Your Lover".

Yes, it was the trend at the time and I was very disappointed to see Prince following suit. Beginning of the end if you ask me.

-Prince had/has some kind of goal in his mind with his videos,

-I wish I was someone close to him, just so I can hear him speak,

-He must have so many dreams, most of those dreams have come into reality.

-I do mean it literally too.

Actually, I'm thinking the same while wondering, who made those coreos for him? James Brown was a revolutionary dancer and Prince just copied his moves. Only original idea I see in this video is the combination of panties and high heels. It demands a strong self confidence from a man to perform and dance like Prince.

No, no, no... Look more carefully the extended version. This video is about changing clothes and trading places (in the bedroom) and in the very end Prince is dancing in panties and a kind trouser legs (I don't know the correct naming of this porn equipment). This is SO Prince in the end of a certain era.... I can bet that the dancing "lady in white" with a motorcycle helmet is Prince too.

Don't know of metaphor, but the trick is that the chick in this video changes her clothes so often that all of the sudden you don't or do realize that it is Prince showing "her lovely lady lumps" or whatever. In the helmet scene, where one expects to see woman or two women dancing to Prince, he may notice that it is Prince himself dancing with the pink latex lady.

All I know is that Prince was in drag during that video. I don't know WHAT he was trying to "prove" to this day lmao
