I hate to state the obvious but of course Huey was just honestly saying it was no surprise because it was Prince's year and he was winning a lot of awards...wasn't meant to be snarky.

And Short Cuts is truly an amazing film. He does show his weiner in it, but who knows if real or not.

I've seen far worse skateboarding face plants than that. Was at the skate park one day when a guy did one of those on the edge of a bowl and left his ear on the coping. Ear in one place, skater someplace else.

It was fairly epic, too. First you got the reaction to his bail from the people who were there, "ooooo, ooohhhh". Then you get him pausing on the flat bottom for a second before he reaches up, realizes his ear is gone and starts yelling, "..... aahhhh, aaaahh, fuck! fuck!" Then you get the second reaction from the people as the realize the ear is on the coping. "Oh shit! Aaaaaah man. No way! Call 911! Damn!" etc etc. They actually put the ear back on, too. He was back at the park a couple weeks later.

Dude! He was wearing a helmet to begin with! The park I was at requires helmets and pads. I'm sure it was actually the helmet that pushed his head to the side so the coping caught his ear instead of splitting his face.
