Yes this is definitely what matters about most about Prince, the multi-talented musician and songwriter.

To me it actually kind of does. Nobody really wants to see a loosey goosey blimp onstage, do they?

Prince is as known for his good looks as his musicianship.

I'd be just as interested if Prince was a "loosey goosey blimp." That is, as long as his guitar & vocal skills didn't fall off. The same goes for female entertainers. Never got people judging musicians for their looks or weight but there ya go.

I'm self employed and I often get unannounced inspections from the State and USDA food program. Well, back in April the food inspector shows up and she has to use my computer to verify my records. I walked off and left her to take care of her end of the business. A few minutes later she calls me back to my office. She had accidentally hit a wrong button and went to my desktop screen. I chuckled because this is what she saw lol

-The stage appearance of the artist, like Prince, is a motto of, "Be Yourself." That is what he does, be himself and the abs have alot to do with it because that is Prince. I have never seen him fat. biggrin

Good grief.

I love these photos of Prince and I love that he looks so very sexy and always has.

But to suggest that his looks are as significant as his musicianship, or the implication that people wouldn't go to his concerts if he wasn't in shape, makes me a little sad.

Something like 99% of my "Prince time", so to speak, is spent with audio only - ie. listening to his music at the computer, on my stereo, in my car, etc...

I was blessed to be able to see him live earlier this year and yes, he really is absolutely it and a bit and I was distracted from his playing more than a couple of times, particularly when I was in the VIP section and literally metres from him (ahhhh...er...I mean *ahem* where was I?) but when you give his albeit stunning appearance and his extraordinary skills and talents as a musician equal weight, you grossly undermine him as an artist.

Given that I feel that so much of his sex appeal comes from his eyes, his smile, his confident swagger, his cheekiness, etc... anyway, his timeless washboard abs really are just the sugar on top wink

I agree as well, especially with the part in bold. I admire Prince for his multi-talented musicianship and would enjoy listening to his music also if he were not good looking, of course, no question about that. I will admit though, that I have also been mesmerized by his appearance, right from the start when I saw him in Purple Rain back in the 80s.

That he still looks hot today, and especially that he is still in such great shape at 53, is worth mentioning, because it is not something that can be said about the average person and also many other artists now don't look as great as they did when they were in their mid-twenties. Prince does. That is admirable. And it is certainly more than a nice treat to look at him up close in concerts. razz
