Everlasting Now...ONAL..A Moment every band wishes they could have I was listening to this track on my headphones for the one-thousandth time and when it goes into the jazzy interlude/solos I am floored by the level of musicianship. This track alone is worth the price of the album. The way the solos are passed like a baton, how each musician slightly steps on the eachothers solos and the sonic build up to the merge at the end of the segment is unreal. Prince's guitar work and Renato's solo are my favorite from this portion, however, Candy, Maceo and Greg did their things too. The sound is passionate, aggressive, sexy, sorrowful, and joyus. The most impressive thing about this song is its lack of a weak link in the solo segment. I honestly feel Renato is the best Keyboardist/Pianist that Prince has ever had because his technical skill is so high. On every track you can hear every note that he plays. Considering the speed at which Renato plays at times, the proficiency he shows in technical skill is unbelievalbe. This performance is one of those moments that leaves jaws dropped and musicians inspired.

Renato is amazing. I remember at the Celebration workshop conducted by Renato & Eric Leeds, that Eric said when he first heard Renato play, it sounded like two or three people playing at the same time.
This band is probably one of the most stripped down bands Prince has ever played with, and yet they really know how to fill out sonic space so well that you'd never guess it's just one drummer, one bassist, one keyboardist, and one vocalist alternating on rhythm guitar/lead guitar/keys/bass/sometimes drums, with a horn here or there. "That...magic, the start of something revolutionary-the Minneapolis Sound, we should cherish it and not punish prince for not being able to replicate it."-Dreamshaman32
