This about the Freaks doing everything they wanna do "NOW"!!

Now from the album Gold experience, is the most jammin' song I've heard in a while.

This song is so underrated and before it's time, it's sound a little like something nikki Minaj would do.

The lyrics are crazy, and I absolutely love this song!!

THE FREAKS ALWAYS DO WHAT THEY WANNA DO NOOOOOOOOWWWWW!!!

There's an awesome performance of this song on youtube

Do you love it?

reccomend me another FUNKY jam like this one!!

Stay purple everyone!!

My least favorite on the album, I find all that screaming rather annoying.

i like it although i prefered the live version on The Beautiful Experience or off the TGE tour, i guess this and Days Of Wild never really cut it in the studio.

I agree that the screaming and yelling during the chorus is a bit too much. A bit too much hiphop orientated too.

But the bass in the song is sick. And the horns are great. Love the subtle girls and boys horn in it and the solos at the end.

these r all actuall samples from soem "Hornheadz" track. I have it somewhere. Bought it from their websight..but I ain't looking for it. Original track is insturmental with nothn but a horn arrangement. It fits crazee good in "Now"

Damn, you can say that again. That screaming gives me a pounding headache and ruins what could be a jam.

I actually dig this track. A lot. When those few new songs were played on the radio somewhere in the UK back in 1993, I believe it was, this was the song that really stood out to me! Funky as shit. The only downside was that it was too reminiscent of "Slam" by Onyx.

But live, they worked the shit out of this track, especially when paired with "Babies Makin' Babies" by Sly. Funk personified! I would NOT want to hear how his little Vegas band would perform this track today. They'd siphon the funk out of it and leave it as some jazz lite tune. disbelief

I was hearing this live at the late night 90's P. Park shows (along with Days Of Wild) before it came out on cd. So when I heard the studio version, it paled in comparison. Imagine if you heard It's Gonna B A Beautiful Night live and then he released a studio version on SOTT. No bueno.

ROCKIN tune. I LOVE the screaming and shouting at the end, it just bursts with funky energy. Of the true highlights of TGE.

If it were a good song, we'd be happy to appreciate it. shrug

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I think if he edited out the dumb stoner voice, didn't crazy scream at the end, and did a break with the female harmonies saying "Nooooow"... it would have been a CLASSIC.

I think the actual song and music are awesome, and the female chorus going "noooow". I think the extra stuff is a bit irritating, and I know lots of peeps who just say, "that's stupid" when they here the music stop and the stoner voice "Light another one dude".

We DON'T need the word "Dude" said on a Prince album in a supposedly cool funny way. confused

I like it a lot, but I would have prefered Days Of Wild on the album.

Why, oh why, We March and not Days Of Wild, Interactive or Acknowledge Me in that album? I always think this when The Gold Experience is discussed.

biggrin Just bustin your chops a bit...one thing about Prince songs is we all love and hate different things about them. I personally am not a big fan of the album version of TMBGITW with all the sound effects.

But I will agree with Javi...never got why he didn't put DOW or Acknowledge Me on there. Both are top Prince songs. But like Now, I am one of the few who actually likes We March...the one weak one for me? Pussy Control.
