That description from the Gold Experience, about the Paisley Park gig during Feb '94, really captured my sentiments about that era. "The 90-minute performance was a gritty, lean, and supremely nasty coming-out baptism..." To me, Days Of Wild embodied that statement so I will always consider it THE FUNK JAM of the 90s. The fact that it never got released when it was meant to, also gives it that legendary edge over anything else.

Days of Wild live in the 90's WAS off the chain. But the studio version was clearly Prince taking a bite out of West Coast rap style (namely Snoop Dogg).

The guitar hook from Come On though, does give me the funky face every time I hear it. Who else but Prince could take a slide guitar sound that's most popular in Country music and turn it into pure funk. So nasty!
