Age of Prince Fans back in the day... Ok, so when Prince was an up and coming artist (say 78-84), how old were the oldest fans? In other words, was he strictly appealing to teenagers or did grown folks like him too? Are there any 70 or 80 year old Prince fans out there? If so, speak up! Trolls be gone!

my parents liked him a lot, but I don't think that was common. Prince was just as generation specific as Elvis or The Beatles or Hip Hop. Most adults were freaked out by him, MJ to a degree too.

when I was about 14-15 ('89 -'90 ish) and was into Prince I took Around the World in a Day up to my Grans and she loved it, especially Paisley Park & Raspberry Beret.... She'd play me Glenn Miller and I'd play her Prince! Hamburger, Hot Dog, Root Beer, Pussy

I remember Prince being considerd more so for adults, especially around the Dirty Mind and Controversy era. I was around 6 and Prince was very taboo. Hell his album covers back then were like borderline porn back then let alone the music. But looking back now it was all genuis! Because now a days if a young music lover, who has never heard of Prince and stumbles across one of those old album or cd covers curiosity will strike. But as soon as that young person gives Prince a listen they'll be hooked for life! They'll also have to get ready to spend alot of dough!! Lol.
