meaning did P ever perform these songs live? if so... where at?

Of course he performed some of them live!

He never did Sex in the Summer and never will.

Emancipation was done at the brits and he did a great performance of holy river on top of the pops his guitar rocked...

Sadly Emancipation has been largely ignored in a live context, even on the Jam Of The Year tours from the era. It would have made a good show focus just as The Gold Tour had used new material the tour previous.

The two awards show performances of the title track were lip synched. As was Face Down on the Chris Rock show.

However Prince did live versions of Holy River and Somebody's Somebody on Rosie O'Donnell. In concert he has performed Get yo Groove On, One of us, Face Down (complete with bass solo), Jam Of The Year, Mr Happy, The Love We Make and on occasion a version of One Kiss At A Time too.

He did Betcha By Golly, Wow! only once, at the Oprah Winfrey Show in 1996s. I know, i have seen this show, but i don't remeber him doing that song.

He never did We Gets Up, White Mansion, Damned If Do, I Can't Make U Love Me, In This Bed Scream, Sex In The Summer, Emale, Curious Child, Joint 2 Joint, Let's Have A Baby, Saviour, Friend Lover Sister Mother, Slave, New World, The Human Body, Style, Da Da Da, My Computer.

Other songs were played regulary on tour(s) (Emancipation, One Of Us) or occasionally in shows.

Sleep Around was performed on Oprah, I can't remember whether parts of it were lipsynced or not. It was sort of a strange period for Prince as he was lipsyncing on several occasion. Might have been due to the huge problems he had with his personal life at the time.

He has done The Love We Make several times on the current tour. I got to witness it and it kicked Purple Rain's ass that night.

I really like that song. One of my favorites off of one of my favorite Prince albums.

He did that song only on ONA Tour .

It would be fantastic if rehearsal tapes of Emancipation exist. The sound of the album does not bother me but I know that many fans have issues with it. It seems likely that Prince and the NPG rehearsed and recorded many tracks from Emancipation in preparation for the Jam of the Year tour, maybe someday they will be released and we will get an alternate version of the album?

I'd looooove to hear Let's Have A Baby LIVE!!! But I don't know if it's painful for him to sing that song...

I know there are for some of the tracks.

But I wouldn't say that I aggressively tracked down live versions for the other tracks, like "Lets have a baby."

The holy river has been done live a few times.
