Nah it wasn't a cover up. It's kinda like Marc Bolan and T. Rex (originally Tyrannosaurus Rex). It's unclear who came up with "glam rock" in the first place. Bowie didn't start up the "glam image" until The Man Who Sold the World though.

I never compared their skills, I'm just saying he has hell of alot of skills still if he is just a "1%" of what Prince was. And the music is actually too different to compare it, other than the fact that Prince has achieved alot more both because his many years in the business, and his versatilty and genuis of playing several instruments on a very high professional level, and writing many classic hits and "underground" classics as well.

But compared to anything else that is popular right now, Kanye is SKILLED. Actually he is one of the best and most relevant acts of popular music in this decade. And there is no question about it. While this will continue for quite a while, fanboys on here that probably has achieved about nothing musically has the nerve to say that he has 0% talent. Seriously

And why would Kanye even want NPG on stage without Prince? Kanye is a superstar with fans mainly between roughly I'd say 16-30 years old. You think his fans care shit about the NPG? Prince is the best, but his has not seen on as a legend like Jimi was, or Michael Jackson. Like Clapton said, either you love him, or you hate him. And parents who hates him wont teach their kids to respect him. This has nothing to do with talent, but the truth. In my country you don't deserve to be more ass if you have more talent either. It's power that makes it possible for somebody to be a douche, and still get love. People worship power, not talent alone. Both these artists has gained love both from power of being famous and actual talent.
