Come on guy..,lol. "Purple Rain" might be mainstream, but just because it is does not mean it is not good. I could see if it was an album with few highlights and was not stellar. But "Purple Rain" is beautiful! It's not like being "Mainstream" is always a bad thing; sure people jump on the bandwagon and all..But "Purple Rain" is a brilliant album...Mainstream or not.

Truth is, I don't listen to it a lot because the songs can sound everywhere and I've become a bit tired. That has something to do with what you say, although it's not exactly the same. I think Let's Go Crazy or Purple Rain are top tunes, although mainstream.

But, honestly, you're going to become infamous sooner or later. Lay off the controversy for a while. Tone it down and lay low, cause it becomes a tired act if you do it all the time. One in a while is fine. All the time gets predictable.
