One of the things I used to love about Prince was his reinvention ...so much so that it's sometimes hard to see that Purple Rain Orince is the same man as Parade Prince and Parade Prince is the same as the Diamonds and Pearls era. I remember when every album was like a new Paris runway show.

The colors, the outfits, the haircut, the sounds, the insturments, the music---everything was new and fresh and different. He was like a true shapeshifter in those days, and it was fascinating.

Prince still has style, but it's the same style since 2002.

Hell yeah I remember when he still had style!!! I also remember when he had some imagination, and he wasn't trying to look the same for the better part of an entire decade! He's had the same basic look and hair since The Rainbow Children, and as he himself put it back in the day, he looked like a STAR.

He may come up with a cool outfit here and there these days, but his "style" is NOTHING compared to what it used to be. Nothing.

It's okay. Like I said, he's had the SAME basic look for almost 10 years now. And like I also said, he may have had a decent outfit or two or three in these past almost 10 years, but it's NOTHING like he used to have. Very mundane in comparison.
