To be honest, I don't the Purple Rain hair is a good idea. I like the Lovesexy hair though.

she want you to learn by experience

she's thinking that this is a phase that you need to go through, and deep inside she wants to save you from the mistakes you do. But you have to do the mistakes for yourself to understand why it's a mistake, hehe. Any kind of experience will make you grow into the person that you are and are going to be. Often doing things like this will strengthen you as an individual. But parents would want you to do be strong without living. I say, DO IT!
