i feel Prince's work will evolve with time. I think it's very good, a bit edgy and a bit sullen. i get it. i see it as prince expressing prince.

Thank You - Someone on here knows what Prince was actually referencing- He's a HUGE Parliament/Funkadelic fan and this style of artwork was completely a homage to them. Lord this board!

If I recall, I remember there being clothing sketches shown on Oprah when he did the interview for the "Emancipation" release. The part that showed seamstresses making his clothes & the drawing was kinda similar to the ones in those CD jackets & covers, which is why I assumed he drew that stuff....

This is both one of his best and "ugliest" artworkds, as well as also being one of his best of all time. When saying ugly, I'm saying that it is creative, but very naive/childlike way of drawing, at the same tine as it is original and looks pretty well balanced. It has major flaws though. This is one of the artoworks that I know of being difficult to say if it's good or bad. But I love it anyways.

I absolutely love this cover and would love to see more like it, in the sense that I don't care for overly glitzy, staged, "perfect" covers that offer no real depth or sense of connection to anything, including the person who recorded the album. I like this cover because it's interesting on so many levels, not the least of which is the glimpse it offers into Prince's head and his 'vision'.

This is an album with teeth and a 'punch' to it. Much better than a generic, contrived and excessively airbrushed photo or whatever.
