America 12 inch I wonder if people find this song more relevant today than when it first came out. I especially love the 12 inch version. The irony and urgent energy of the song are particulary applicable to a situation involving someone I love today (replace "mushroom cloud" for something else and one "red" for another). I think this song certainly relates to many people's circumstances now.

I haven't heard the '12 inch' but would 
to sometime. I like America A LOT but for some reason, I don't really think Prince loves it all that much,' at least in the present moment. Maybe it's only a few of the lyrics that he's not so crazy about 
song? 
"America" is one of the greatest songs in Princes cannon- you think he doesn't know that? Trust. He's just got that 1 in his back pocket and will pull it out when he feels like making people gasp,clutch & bump! I expect this jam to surface again live heavily in near future setlists. The "America" 12" is probably my all time favorite 12" Perfect for a long jog, working out at the gym, cleaning the house. Hypnotic.
