When will some of you let this go? Do you not understand that he meant dead economically.

He even took the time to explain this an a subsequent interview.

Probably when you find your sense of humour.

Do you even remotely know what's he been up to the last months.....guess not...

...going through the motions in different countries?

For your info. In the 6 shows he played in Holland last july he played over 85 different songs including: What's my name, Calhoun Square, Empty Room, Mutiny, Something in the water, Girl, Bambi, I like it there etc etc.

Goin through the motions ??

Tell me who in this house knows about the quake?

Only for the july 26th Ahoy show. Not so much for the rest.

I don't know how anyone playing over, what is it, 100 or so songs, to be "going through the motions", I say that about folks who only do 20 and leave the stage after 90 minutes and do it half heartedly from what I've seen, Prince doesn't seem to be going through the motions at all. neutral

I dont agree with "going through the motions" also for the 26th. Sounds like he's doing it on automatic pilot and I dont think you ever get this much quality if someone is just "going through the motions" Even if he had played those songs thousands of times. He's still making a serious effort to make them sound fresh. Think calling it going through the motions is underrating the achievement. It really isnt that easy...especially with the hits....they might even take more effort....

Check the setlists and see a difference.

The setlists remind me of a faded wannabe 80s band that is trying hard to make a comeback. Didn't he release any records since the 80s? Can anyone shed light on this please? razz

Prince I will always miss and love U.

Seen him in Paris & Malahide. Both were top drawer concerts. It is not about set lists but performances. I get a kick seeing the look on first timers when they realise why I am such a fan of prince. I think most of the people criticising set lists have not been 2 the concert. Set lists cannot communicate the energy of the performance. Gold as an opener was a dream. I wanted laydown but he'll do it another time.

Well, if the energy and performance is fucked like it was in Cologne, you get a different perspective on those things. Add to that the boring hits that I have head live before...you get the drift razz

Is there any wave or such of how it was sounding?

Gosh, that is terrible, and of all people. I could understand if it was a no talent, but Prince. Oh man, oh man

- He was supposedly already in his motorised vehicle after leaving the stage before he was talked into resuming the show - There was no curfew, he could play until 01:00 AM. - He fired the sound crew and replaced them with the french crew from 20ten - He supposedly played the very minimum contractual amount of time - He did not communicate during the waiting period nor afterwards about the details
