How do you interpret these lyrics?

It´s pretty obvious, isn´t it? The song might be full of metephors, but they are quite self-explenatory, especially after the chorus.

It´s a beautiful love song. One of his best.

About the interpretation: I´m not quite sure. BUT I have 2 say that I think this song is absolutely brilliant and very very underrated. And I honestly can´t believe that this song wasn´t chosen over Still Would Stand All Time for GB, because I´ve never "gotten" SWSAT - it doesn´t really make any special impression on me. The Grand Progression, on the other hand, is fantastic! What do U guys think about this? Do U think SWSAT was the right choice or would U, like me, prefer the other one??

I like it more than SWSAT, but that's still a good song. This song sounds more Parade-y to me.

I think SWSAT was the right choice. I've never understood the praise for Grand Progression, it has left absolutely no impression on me whatsoever.

That´s fine - and interesting. I guess it just sums up all the different types of music he has, and a song that is anonymous 2 me is the other way around 2 U, and vice versa.

I love still would stand all time too, it seems like the right choice for the movie.
