What's your favorite Prince song? I saw his live Forever In My Life vid. oh My GOD, he has never looked so beautiful in my eyes!!!!! My all x fav. was Crimson and Clover, till now Prince has like a multiple personality disorder which HE doesn't suffer from but we FEMALES do! I have many favourite Prince's songs. Too much, to write all of them. Faster I would write songs which I don't like.

It changes from time to time... I get stuck on a song and play it to death. Right now I'm stuck on "Laydown". I loved it as a concert-opener, and I love riding along blasting it in my car!

I think all night long is acutually insence and candles unless he made a song called all night long. Forever with you is doing it for me right now till I find one I like better,I'm sooo digging the lil ol country boy stage act it's sooo cute, he looks like a damn nutcracker, I've never seen him like this before, I gotta tell ya I have a new appreciation for him , I guess the live video showed me that anything is possible, it gave me new hope that I myself needed, to me it was him pouring his minnesota soul all over the stage and evrybody joined him and they were all rockin the lighters were just flickerin in rythem motion at that with the lights off! It seems so sincere god it was beautiful I'm still trying to digest. I have more than one favorite......They are the following: The Dance, How Doves Cry, The Beautiful Ones, Thieves in the Temple, Still Would Stand all Time, Future Soul Song, Gett Off, So Blue, Joy in Repetition, Te Amo Corazon, Money Don't Matter 2 Night, Somewhere Here On Earth, Incense and Candles, Chelsea Rodgers, If I was Your Girlfriend. From that list, my favorite is "The Dance".

Don't get me wrong - there are a lot of Prince songs that I absolutely love. But while others have slipped on and off of my list of favorites over the years, When You Were Mine is a constant - and has been from the first time I heard it. It was my first favorite - which is why everything else ranks below it. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. | |
