Traffic Jam (Ron Hardy Edit)

Hi folks, new to the board so hopefully this is not a double post.

I heard this recently from my friends "restless funk" radio show and thought it might be of interest on here. Check the archive streaming link:

Ron Hardy is (for those who don't already know) a pivotal figure in the development of House music.

This rare edit has surfaced on a recent CD compilation of tracks played by "Mojo", another legendary DJ from Detroit who interviewed Prince on his show in the mid 80's. A real shame P never finished this beast!

On a more general note, I am a record shop worker from Cambridge England and look forward to much enjoyable banter on here biggrin

I found that link too. How come this hasn't been bootlegged before?

It is a loop, an outfake in other words.

Good luck with "enjoyable" banter on here. Sometimes, it seems more like an insane asylum than a site for Prince fans. However, I wanted to give you a thumbs out on the Ron Hardy shout out. I am a Chicagoan and I LOVE House music. Unfortunately, Ron passed before I could here him live. However, he is one of my brother's favorites. He used to go hear him all the time.

Thankfully Frankie Knuckles is still putting it down. I never miss him when he is in Chicago. Speaking of Frankie and House, the Chosen Few House Music Picnic was great a few weeks ago. Frankie Knuckles and Alan King tore it up!

perfection is a fallacy of the imagination...
