Romeoblu

I hated it the first couple of listens, all I heard was the sillyness in the song.

Then I started to hear more of that new wave vibe and it grew on me.

I'm still not keen on the little piano motif, makes me think of Chas N Dave, he should have played it on guitar or a keyboard.

I think it would have fit better as a b side

freedom ain't free... is Prince trying to say what exactly?? taxes? bootlegs? downloading music? Please... I hate hearing multi-millionaires piss and moan about money they have to pay. Most celebrities have their noses so far up liberal's butts and they should be mad at them since liberals want those rich celebs to pay even more!! So shut the F up and pay.

I think singers should just get on stage, do their little song and dance and then get the hell off stage!

No, that's just you being narrow-minded! Why does it have to be about money at all?

Most countries that looked to instill democracy and freedom had to crash through some painful barriers to do it. Heck, even your own country was at civil war with itself for a long time!

Ask the people of Libya, Egypt or Tunisia whether their lunge for freedom came freely, or at great cost with many lives.

And if singers have no right to express their opinions, what the fuck gives you the right to express your conservative tirades? Hmmm?

I think 'Everybody Loves Me' sounds like something he would've given to Vanity 6 or Appolonia 6 back in the day. It kinda sounds like 'Turn It Up' imo [which isn't a bad thing whatsoever. I love that song]. I only wish two things though....

1. I wish he would've song the verses himself [with vocals similar to 'Turn It Up']

2. I wish That song [along with everything else on 20Ten] was mixed way better. People seem to not understand the mixing & mastering aspect & how important it is in music. This album almost sounds unmixed too an extent [certain things are too loud/too low. No reverb or atmosphere barely at all]. I wish this album could be re-mixed & remastered by a real pro. I guarantee if it was, this album would be liked far more than it is.

So with that said.....I like the song. I don't love it or hate it, but it's a fun track overall. biggrin

الحيوان النادلة ((((|̲̅̅●̲̅̅|̲̅̅=̲̅̅|̲̅̅●̲̅̅|)))) ...AND THAT'S THE WAY THE "TITTY" MILKS IT!

I don't think it's a classic, but to me it's certainly not as bad as some of you believe it is.

I actually kind of enjoy the track, the music is quite cool, the lyrics are somewhat cheesy though...

RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

for all the apologists on here let me make this 100% clear- it is a sack of shit. He should be totally embarassed that he allowed this to be on the CD!. Yes, i know it was probably done with a tongue planted in his cheek etc but come on P, what was he thinking!!.

I tried playing it back2back with No more candy 4 u but that didn't help either!.razz
