Have ANY fams converted to the JW's faith because of Prince?

Or become more knowledgeable about their own or other faiths, beliefs, religions and spirituality since The Rainbow Children? Regardless, what has been the effect on you?

Well, if no one's converted it aint cuz lil man aint TRYIN! I have a friend who got to spend an evening with Prince last time he played in Seattle, and I kid you not, at the end of the adventure, when they were about to part company, Prince handed my man a WATCHTOWER. This is not a joke. My friend took it politely (but did not convert, nor have I)

I hope not, because if anyone knows anything about the JW faith, this religion is going to turn Prince furthur away from the fans and the public. This is why there is no longer any friday nite parties. Remember the website is not up we maynot even have a celebration.

At his concerts he was saying this is my job.Boy, if that doesn't sound like a JW. He never said his talent is a gift from God, which it is. I'm sure they told him, oh, yeah you can do that for now because that is your job.

I know there are a few people that attend the KH in Chanhassen just in the hopes of seeing Prince.

As soon as I heard he converted to this religion, I was concerned about how much we would still have the old Prince.

Sure, it looks like he is closer to the fans but one reason for that was to tell the public about the religion.

I don't think anybody converted because they believe the teachings of this religion, they just do it to be closer to Prince, a few months or years down the line, it maybe the only way to see him.

It is hard to comprehend how someone can be so talented and inteligent and convert to this. Does he really believe that they are the only channel to God? I think and hope the day will come where he will question some of their beliefs.

But than if he is happy and content, why take it away from him?

When my exboy friend got baptised with the JW, he had to give up his career, but he was a Jai-lai player which is gambling, so it may be different for Prince, but my boyfriend also gave up me and our circle of friends when we werenot interested in the religion. I might add Iam an angel compared to my ex boyfriend, but he couldn't have anything to do with me and his past life.

I really loved this man but it has been ten years now, so I moved on a long time ago.

But for the fans that think nothing will change with Prince
Don't be surprised if it does. I hope he never gives up his career because it is more than a job it's a gift from God and to rob him of this, plus the fans would be a sin in itself. We will just have to wait and pray and see what
happens.

I've heard the friday night 'rumours' before but aren't they just that, rumours? I've never heard him call his music his job; if so, that's an interesting development.

As for fams who convert because of Prince, isn't that often the case where conversions arise due to worhsipping something other than God? Although I don't agree with it, is it necessarily a bad thing?

Would you have been happier if he had handed your friend a test pressing of Camille? Would Prince have been happy doing that?

I did share my things what this belongs a time with L4OA, the old website. I did "bombard" them with e-mails.But that is coming because a spiritual-vision I had and Prince was there. It can be... I think..., I did believe, I had a
spiritual connection with him.

But it's been my imagination only.

No I am not converted to the JW's. I know JW's before I did
know Larry Graham is Jehova Witness and it could been Prince too.

eye am wittness of JAH, but have I am not in that sinn you mean a Jehova Witness. What I do sometimes, this is true, is to read the Watchtower and Atalaya. But I do also read other good thigs from other religions or beliefs.

I don't care abooout religions! I do care only about Love and Peace! And to find that, I have to go my way as I always did.

So, are you in disagreement with Prince's choice in religion because it's bad for HIM or are you in disagreement with Prince's choice of religion because it's bad for YOU?

Exactly my point. Who's to say that, Prince finding spiritual closure in the JW's faith, is a bad thing for him?

Well Riddle me this Batman...since Prince calls some of us "Fanatics" and prefers "Fam" how can he join a religion that has been defined by many to be a "Fanatical" religion?

Every religion has been attacked at one point, but JW's is one of the few religions that even the main stream(internationally speaking) looks at as being "cult-like."

Interesting point, June19. I just don't really know much about the JW's teaching, not knowingly anyhow. I guess The Rainbow Children has got me singing some of it's lyrics.
