Have You Ever Screamed and Cried Over Prince?

Everybody has seen the scenes of MJ fans screaming, crying, and fainting at his concerts.

So, is anybody going to admit to screaming, fainting, falling down, etc. at a Prince show? lol

Have you ever gotten that excited at a Prince show?

Doesn't everyone scream at a Prince concert?
I know I did at my first concert.nod
Then when I got front row tickets thru NPGMC (thank God I was home alone or I would've scared my daughter to death dead).
I couldn't believe it when it came up on my screen.omg
I was jumping up and down and screaming like a damn fool. woot!
Then I screamed and cried both at that concert!
If U set your mind free, baby, maybe U'd understand...

Always get excited!! Often scream, never fell down, never fainted, but cried several times starting with the last of the three Purple Rain tour shows I saw when I was on the second row and realized it was the last time I'd see him for a while. Sometimes he's just overwhelming!

Some of his ballads are VERY touching and I have shed a few tears.

During one of his shows from the Purple Rain tour, I screamed my head off and cried when he did "the beautiful ones", but of course then at my young age, I thought he was God.

I've cried a few times at Prince concerts as a reaction to a particular song that has special meaning to me, or just because the song is so beautiful and I'm feeling so happy and thankful to be experiencing it in that way at that moment in time (I'm an emotional person..lol).

However, I don't scream, cry, faint, wet my pants, become histrionic, or perform any other psycho fan shi*t like that as a response to my merely SEEING PRINCE in the flesh. That kind of bizarre behavior is scary to me when I see it, and I can only imagine how freakish it must seem to Prince himself.

I once dropped a Prince CD on my foot. Hit me with a point and brought some tears to my eyes.

So, yes. I have cried over Prince (hurting my foot).

I cried when I heard Nothin Compares 2 U live and I cried when I heard Gotta A Broken Heart Again and the Ladder in London. I have also screamed a long with the rest of the crowd because it is fun and exciting.

At the first celebration, the body guards were walking prince out through the crowd and he had to stop right beside me and he couldn't move for about a minute we were almost nose to nose, and I reached down and took his hand and held it soft, until he started moving again, it excited me so much when I got back to the hotel I had to go to the bathroom.

Scream: Always. Not hysterically though, but just the emotion a song may bring. (Unfortunately it's most songs mr.green)

Cry: Often. Sometime it snows, Empty Room, Beatiful Ones, JIR have moved me to tears on many occasions.

I'm usually not the emotional type, but there's something about Prince that brings out the worst (or best) in me.evillol

I went to an afterparty here in Chicago some years ago at this club. There were playing all Prince music. After a LONG time, they started playing Cream and there was someone playing the drums. They put him up on all the screens and when I realized it was him I started crying. I was thrilled to be in the same room with him. It was the first time I had ever seen him in person. Yes, I'm a silly bitch.

Yes, I have. Not histerically...I screamed at the Kodak theatre performance last April, and I cried at the Las Vegas show in December.nothing wrong with showing emotion for the man. But there was a gal siiting behind me that got so emotional that she started cursing and crying at the same time, now that is way tooo much!!!

Cried on a few occasions. Not like histerical or anything. Some things just really touched the heart.

never,
since i am always in the front, i do things that nobody else does, which prince notices quicker...cause he IS looking.

essentially i stand there and do NOTHING when i want him to particularly see me.
no screaming, crying, dancing...
i stand out like a beacon...prince stares at me, then leaves and always comes back to check me, and see if i have moved yet.
he even plays his guitar harder.
hard to resist, but i learn a lot about him doing that.

we smile at each other, with each check, because he knows, i know, what he and i are doing.
when it got me my ultimate dream, an invite up on stage, i knew it was time to quit doing that!
no...i didn't go. that was prince's element up there and he knew it. i would have been waaay out of my league, and in front of hundreds!?

OUCH!!! That hurt!!! cry

But seriously, I guess the things that got to me were:

"Since I am always in the front..."

Why? Is she one of the Paisley Pack who intimidate and push her way to the front every time in an attempt to make a "connection" with Prince? These women are rude and intimidating. If you've ALWAYS been in the front, how about letting some other folks have a chance? Or is there a reason you can't enjoy the concert for the music instead of using it as an opportunity to make eyes with the performer?

"...when I want him to particularly see me..."

Is this about the music or about trying to get noticed?

"We smile at each other, with each check, because he knows, I know, what he and I are doing."

A true love connection? Or stalker mentality?

Does that give you a better explanation?
