Did anyone who bought 1999 after the whole symbol thing think of that image of him with the watercolours and paper where he literally looks like an artist? I found the LP though I have it on CD and if I get it, I totally want to pin it up.

Strange question,

I have bought 1999 both before and after the symbol thing, what does the symbol thing have to do with your question...? 1999 was released in 1982/ 1983 long before the name change.

He called himself an "artist", I know he meant musically, but I was asking if anyone thought of artistically too and thought of the pic you posted?
