Love on the Blue Train Just picked up Sheila E's 3 self title album, and I heard about "Love on a Blue Train" and that song whipped my ass for the whole 5:29. The horns, sheila's voice, the handclaps this song was to funky. Is there a live version or a *spilc from it being performed live. Let this tiny negor know.

There is a Japanese commercial for some electronics on youtube where she performs the song like a 1:00 video version. __________________________________________________

There is an extended version that is fairly rare. I think it was on a Japanese EP.

The original version (from the Japanse EP) is better and longer. I think the album version suffers from over production.
Great track. . | |

I only "discovered" the long version in the last few years so I can probably imagine how surprised you were when you learned it existed.

The album version is actually a re-recording, rather than an edit of the long orginal. .

Is this the remixed version? I think I have it on a cassette. Didnt know it was extended
Usually an extended version keeps going longer but keeops the album version's sound. Straight Jacket Funk Affair

This is one of my all-time favorite Sheila songs. Everything about it is killer. I would LOVE to hear her play it live some day.
The remix/extended version is not as good. It's slower and duller. The album version kicks ass.

I believe there are three different versions of the song. The single version (which is about 4:00 and is a different mix than the album version), the album version (about 5:30) and the version found on The Glamorous Club EP (about 7:30).

I always thought the single version was just an edit. Can anyone confirm that it is a different mix?
