I was amazed to hear this new song from Prince which he performed recently.

The transmission was - for reason that it was not a studio recording - rather blurry.

The melody was very sweet to my ear while most of the lyrics was unclear.

I think I heard ..."When She Comes She has open eyes" ??? or something like that.

Does anyone know what he actually sings in every verse and chorus.

I would very much like to know.

Prince started by saying "When she comes, she doesn't close her eyes." Repeated it a few times and then someone from the crowd said "Take your time Prince!" Prince looked up "We got a bootlegger in the house. Wanting me to take my time."

Prince it seemed started and stopped the song a few times, at one point, running over to Ida n taking the bass out of her hands to play it and then hands it back a few minutes later. He then has Phillips play a sax solo but Prince takes the mic stand away from him and throws Phillips a look that makes him crack up before he continues to play.

"When She Comes, She leaves her eyes open. When she flies, It's hard to accept in time she is rather fine."

Prince then wants Blackwell to brush the bass symbol and he is loving it.

Edited to add: I think he meant cymbal, not symbol.

Wow I guess it is a very sensual song.

Yes, he has a sense of humor. I like his sense of humor, he makes me laugh.

If all the times he said something like this, he was just joking, then, it's getting old...

More likely the person was just feeling the song and kinda like "Sexually " saying "Oh come on.. atke our time.... Don't rush the orgasm" you know.., that sort of thing.
That is how I would take it if some one yelled it up to ME at MY show...

Lawd, have mercy. You can't be serious. It is obvious he didn't mean "bootlegging" in the context of someone actually bootlegging/stealing his music, it is apparent he was jokingly implying that the person who called out for him to "Take his time" when he paused in the middle of singing it, that he jokingly replied that someone was trying to "Bootleg..." in the context of "Someone trying to add/inject their own line into his song", while he was singing it. It's obvious he said it in humor. It was sort of like a "call and response" from the person who called out to him, because they were feeling the song, and he responded. You can relax now.
