Actually, we've had two very psychodelic days here in the org, with the album poll, a fantastic thread about the whole Around The World In A Day era and a thread about the song Paisley Park.
What do you think of the results? In my opinion, the more pop-psych oriented tunes are the faves, with less esteem for the ballads, the rock tunes (America) and the funkier ones (Tamborine). This time, Prince released as singles the songs that today are the most highly regarded by the fans, with the exception of America.
Anyway, whether you love the album or not, it's clear that its music prompts interesting discussions between the fans.
Stay tuned for the Love Symbol album poll. | |

The top 3 are no big surprise for me. Raspberry Beret is just a great example of storytelling and the 12' version is pretty damn awesome, too! Paisley Park & Pop Life - I love everything that came out of the sessions when he recorded these 2 songs, 17 days, Erotic City, She's Always in my Hair, etc.
I disagree with Temptation being last! I mean their creepy God talk at the end is weird, but it's got some nice guitar and I'm a fan of "working my body with a hot flash of animal lust!" To each his own, I guess.
