Right but I feel the same about Purple Rain. Yea it had a cohesive storyline but it was really a more of concert film than an actual film. I think of it as one of the great rock films of my time not neccessarily a "black film" even.....just a great rock movie that captured the essence of Minnesota and the 80's. Still bad acting but saved by great performances and music. The only performance I liked in GF was Elephants and Flowers and Thieves in the Temple..because those are my fav songs of the album.

The rest was just a mess...I tried to watch it more than once just to see if I would ever get it...I have never been able to finish...I'm not doing that again... so on my shelf it still sits collecting dust.

I like GB more than I like PR

Both are same kind of movies, but the look he has in GB makes it win for me.

I was six and I didn't like it, watched a bit of it a few years ago and turned the channel. So my heart has never warmed up to it. So no one was enjoying it. Well some people were but not all. One's trash is another's treasure I guess.
