How much is Prince Worth? We heard MJ state recently that he reckoned on being worth $1bn.
I'm not looking to compare, it just got me thinking. How much do you think Prince is actually worth? He probably doesn't (really) care too much. I mean PP must be a few cents!  -

Just from what i know about his sales over the years, the reinvestment of those funds in side bands, CD's, never seen videos, his studio, etc --and then his current sales and take of newer CD's(about 65-75% of the TRC sales in stores)
Add to that the publishing fees he makes off his older WB output and that he was able to put down over $3 million toward a $5 million home in Toronto---I'd say about $50 million. I don't know but possibly alot of *Glitter and Gold*. ok ok I know that was cheesey but you have to admit it put a smile on your face or laugh.  Dreaming permits each and every one of us to be quietly and safely insane every night of our lives.

Who knows? There has been a lot written how Prince has wasted money on projects that never come about.
I'm sure he has enough to make him happy. I wonder how much goes to the JWs? | |

I know this is a tangent - but MJ said he was worth MORE THAN $1bn. I reckon it must be MUCH more. In the same prog, he went on a short shopping spree and spent several million $s. He wouldn't need to go on many of those to use up $1bn
What I was wondering was - where does he get all him money? He releases an album every 5 yrs, doesn't do endorsements (that I'm aware of) rarely does interviews. Surely he's not making all that just from album sales and royalties?? L I'm just, I'm just Levi from the org | |

L Michael owns a good portion of the Beatles catalog and Sony publishing (which includes songs by Sly and the Family Stone,Babyface and many others).In 2001,he made over $9 million from the sales of The Beatles "1" compilation.If he never made another album again,he could still live comfortably for the rest of his life.And while nobody really believes he is worth $1 billion,I would still love to have his bank account anyday...lol... As for Prince,I would guess that he is easily worth between $50-100 Million.He tours frequently and receives royalties when his songs are done by others,or sampled by rappers.Like MJ,he would be set for life even if he never made another album again. | |
