Another example ...The Beautiful Ones - last chorus again 'Baby baby baby listen to me'. And another ... Darling Nikki - 'Your darling little Prince wanna grind grind grind'. These are some of Prince's best moments. I so totally agree with U!

actually, the screeching on "now" makes it one of my favorites from "the gold experience"... Both sound too 'put on' to me. Temptation sounds heartfelt as does The Beautiful Ones. i don't think either of them sound "put on" to me... although, he does sound like he's struggling to keep it up there at times on "rave"... the first time i heard that song, i was amazed to hear him screeching like i hadn't heard him screech in a long while... then, by the end of the song, i remember thinking that he wasn't going to be able to keep together and that he wouldn't be able to do that for much longer... i was glad to see him prove me wrong in atlanta when he let it go on "family name"... Candy Dulfer is my boo...

I was SOOO disappointed to hear ONA Live and have virtually no screeching at all... espectially the cut down version of the beautiful ones... when I saw the 1st London show he did a full band version and lay on the floor and screeched like a bitch.
It was utterly astonishing - I was thining he was getting too old for it, but by God... 'Now' is my favourite recorded screeching I think. ________________________________
