I sense a lot of sexual tension between Tricky & Christopher Tracy in this film.....Their relationship is highly suspect....

...They're way too close up in each others faces too many times in the movie as well....

What is with people trying to defend shit Prince does all of the time?! There was a lot of feminine things going on between Tricky & CT. Tricky came off a gay to me in the film. Why was he so upset when CT didn't come to club when he was getting some from Mary? If my boys told me that's why they didn't show up, I wouldn't even be mad at that. I've actually done that before, & my friends understood. I never get up in my friends faces like that either....and they both were wearing eye-liner all throughout the movie too! Btw, CT & Tricky were American, so that says what?

First of all, I'm not defending anything, because there is nothing to defend.

The rest of your post implies that you mix up what people think is "queer" with homosexuality. I can wear eyeliner and be the straightest guy ever. One of my best friends is gay and he drinks beer, likes to watch sports and moves and talks like everyone else.

There are friends who mean more to you than even sex and women, especially in that movie, as they live together, are "brothers", have a business together and moved to a different country.

But all of that is unimportant, as it's just a movie. I just find it extremely ridicolous that so many people are put off by what they think is "feminine" and "homosexual" and that sexual freedom still confuses them, especially Prince fans.

Damn, haha. This movie is not the regular movie of normal acting. More like some kind of Charlie Chaplin with a slightly modern sexual edge on top of it. The movie is not great, but it has a few fun moments, and visually the movie is great all the way. Could have been so much better.

I have a couple of gay friends & one of my cousins is gay, & they all thought the same thing I did [none of them act feminine whatsoever]. I am American & I've never been the type of guy to sit next to the tub while my male friend is in it to drop peddles in his water. Would I do that to a female? HELL YES! But I've never met a female who's even asked that of me before/yet. If you do that where you're from with your male friends....okay. To each his/her own. It's just funny that they're '"supposedly" fighting over Mary Sharon when Tricky could just be jealous because Mary's stealing his......uh......"man"?

I know it's just a movie. It's a weird, but ultimately funny movie & I enjoyed it.

But Prince has been known to play around a lot lyrically with 'homosexual' themes

It always seemed to me that they both had a thang for Mary Sharon. There some very funny scenes in this flick. It was meant to be kinda campy. I think just went over most folks heads!

Just to be funny, they prolly woulda did a threesome with Mary. But on the serious side, it was something I had to kinda get used to and try to understand like when I first saw Dirty Mind's promo videos. DONT JUDGE, just wait, listen and see, lol.

But yeah, they're family in the movie, like brothers, so they're obviously comfortable and close with one another like two peas in a pod. Just little ol homosexual-play fun Nothing serious
