but I dont know if Prince is popular enough now 4 a residency in aussie......in 2003 he barely sold out sydney both nights..in fact the 2nd night wasn't full...but I still kick myself for not going to both shows!!! I missed the aftershow cos of that dammit!! at least I got great seats for the soundcheck thanks to NPGMC...

From memory, night 2 ended up selling out due to the word of mouth about how amazing the first show was. I was at both and the second show sure looked sold out.

Either way I thinik he has moved into more of a legendary status over the last few years, and if there was some great PR around this - he could be MASSIVE over here again.

By PR, I mean, TV specials reminding people how awesome he is. If anyone, Star City (Tabcorp) have the cash for this.

I couldn't believe it when I was in sydeny in '03 and most people I spoke to didn't even know Prince was in town that night LOL

maybe he'll play NZ too....although, I think I'd rather see him in Aussie again....better venues!!
