It's pretty obvious from some of his recent pictures he is thinning. You can't have a wig on and look thin on top. I heard from some people around during Purple Rain (and who knew Earl- the guy who did his hair) that he did have a wig on in some scenes because they did some pick up shots right after he had bleached his hair (which is what you see on the cover of ATWIAD- he was spotted at nightclubs with that look in Miami).... that it started breaking really badly. It is what also precipitated the Raspberry Beret look cause that's as much of his hair had grown back in.

Right! Male Pattern Baldness is eivdent early in a man's 20's. If Prince were balding it would've been very apparent by his late 30's at least. Sure, he's probably had some extra pieces sewn in from time to time. Most celebrities do these days. In fact Prince has a pretty good head of hair for a 53 year old man who has been perming his hair for more than 30 years. I'm sure he takes care of his hair as well as he takes care of himself. Prince appears to be in very good shape, and in good health.

Wigs? Not sure. I know he used wigs from time to time. But the ones I can think of were not meant to be taken as his real hair. (like the old man get up "come on" video and at the GQ awards)

I don't see a break line for the weave. Usually you see that. Unless everyone thinks he had next to NO heir and it's ALL a weave. Take a look at Lovesexy era. That all seems to be his and it's long.

or not...lol. If you look at him bowing at the end of the Gold video you can see he had a bald spot at the back of his head. must be covering that now. Actually ...who cares?? And yet here I am posting on it...lol

I believe Prince has a head full of hair. I think he's FAR from bald. It's just the way the hair appears to be two different textures in the attached photo. If you look at the hair as it flow to his chin, it looks the same. Once it begins dropping pass his chin and to his shoulder it appears to change in texture, at least to me. Unless my eyes are playing tricks on me

The 1989-1990 hairstyle Prince was definitely all his imho.

Prince is not bald, barely thinning. His hair is very real and never used extensions. When you get your hair done by a professional like he did (Earl Jones) in the 80's and early 90's, your hair will grow with the quickness cause you're constantly cutting the dead ends which will make your hair grow and flow.
