OH! I just discovered this song not long ago by Elton John.

My local radio station has been playing and

I think it is good, I Don't understand what

he is saying.. BUT I would LOVE to hear Prince's

version of this song. I KNOW HE WOULD ROCK IT.

I can hear him rocking the guitar, piano, and some drums in there.

you should buy this greatest Hits album, 1970 to 2002.

Elton John songs, and it's great all the way through.

Goodbye Yellow Brick Road is a classic album.

I can't remember if Prince has ever covered "Bennie & The Jets"?

But I think Prince has covered 1 Elton John song.

A. If you only listen to mostly R&B on the radio and your CD's

B. You don't really like a particular artist at all, bypass them at

any cost

C. When your CD player doesn't work in your car and you are stuck

listening to the car radio-which plays the same songs over and over again

D. When that radio station,which only play mostly the 70-90's R&B music,

mixed with some white artist that their music could blend in with the genre

back in the day

E. When that station decides to mix it up and add songs that you never

heard of because you never listen to that artist at all because

you really didn't care for them, but suddenly you hear a song

that is catchy, the instruments and beat are very different and the

song gets in your head,and then you find out that the very artist

that you've been avoiding all your life has music that suprises you

because it becomes a gem in your eyes-gentle to your ears and a

song that you want to add to your music collection

...then yes that is when you noticed

i try it all the time, im just saying im amazed you're just now discovering this classic widly recognized song. but kudos anyway

And as we all know "Nobody Beats The Biz", so Prince would be well advised to stay away from this cover

If he can do 'I CAN'T MAKE YOU LOVE ME' I know he can

hit this one out the ball park. It would be so beautiful--

Elton John said that there's a lot of songs Bernie Taupin sent him that he has no idea what they're about. He's a brilliant musician because he can put anyone's words to music, but doesn't write the words. It's a 40 plus year collaboration.

But this one's not too hard to figure out, it's about a futuristic rock band, it came out during the height of glam rock.

Elton played that one on Soul Train, and yes it's on You Tube. And the live versions are the highlight of his shows... I think he's played that one for 15 minutes at some shows.

Greatest hits covers the basics. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road is worth listening to all the way through. Even the Making of DVD's pretty cool because they came up with a lot of songs in a short period of time.
