1. Yeah, money's a mother, but if you can afford it you should go - however, Denmark and Copehagen has had a gig or two in the last few years, which the UK hasn't for a while. You could bank on him coming again soon and see if the set list changes - though why not try and get to Copenhagen, not go to the gig and hope for an aftershow.

2. The setlist - yeah, its pretty standard at the mo - but boring, I'd only say so if you've spoilt urself with bootlegs of live shows. If you told me the Hop Farm setlist before (and we all coulda guessed it) I'd of thought oh, ok, but still went as I did - because its prince and I haven't seen him live since 95. And I'd go and see tribute band play those tunes, so if its prince doing a tribute to himself then its a million times better.

Also, that setlist was amazing. It is still Prince, remember, the P-Man, squiggle. He is a master, I witnessed that at Hop Farm - the band was tight as owt, and I could look at him. Maybe a bit of star/idol worship but he could have played a wombles album and his interpretation woulda been amazing. Its either an aftershow, or wait in hope for a tour of smaller venues that may never happen.

3. Granted. But still, you can always give him a swerve if he's supporting, and I watched as I'd not seen him live before. If you have then maybe its different. I may do again as its still better than a lot of music out there?

4. Atmosphere at Hop Farm was pretty bo. It got dark towards the end but was light to start, it didn't make a difference I don't think. Again, I think unless you've seen him loads you'll be watching the stage - also ur bad concert, that coulda been down to the sound system or the crowd you had that day. Saw him from miles away at Parkhead - outdoor, amazing, saw him at Nynex, indoor amazing, then Hop Farm. To be Honest I couldn't tell you the difference in atmo etc cos I've not had many chances to see him.

5. Some things probably are more important. It depends if they're things you have to be around for, but maybe going if appropriate will take you out of the situation, give you a bit of distance and perspective and maybe you can come back to whatever is going on with renewed vigour and positvity (get your plus sign however u can man). Bad things are just waiting to become good...

It is possible ur spoilt if you've seen millions of P gigs, I've seen three now. Can you risk that someone won't chuck a beer bottle at P and is hej dag to Danmark for good? Or he'll tour again, next year, the year after, the year after...same setlist, but getting older...I worry to go see him again in case its shit, my last experience being so good! Which kinda answers the last bit - if I had a certainty on an aftershow I'd crawl over fifty naked erect Larrys bum down to go and see...and I suppose would, depsite reservations go see him again in the UK this year (but get there early so I can see over tall people!)

I am a long time Prince fan since 1983, last year I wasn't going to see Prince at Roskilde for some of the same reasons...

I'm going back to Ireland on the 11 August and I must admit that I'm half tempted to go home a bit earlier cause I do believe the Dublin show will be special.....

However, it's difficult to get too excited about large outdoor shows with overblown prices and yes, the band, the setlist and Shelby and Larry don't inspire too much either.

That said, I do hope everyone has a good time..it's a shame the NS show seems to have been a bit of a flop

I used to feel the same. However, since hop farm my opinion has changed. Prince was on FIRE that night and played the hits through and through....me....I couldn't care, the kid was on form!

My main reason if I don't go elsewhere than Paris, it's because short of money, otherwise, I'd be at any in Europe or in the States...

In short: I'm tired of nostalgia shows!

It's up to Prince to put on a show so compelling that it forces you to throw all other concerns aside and part with the loot. I've skipped going to a lot of Prince shows lately that I could have attended simply because I'm not entertained with what's he doing now and who he is playing with. Had this been something like a Revolution Reunion tour, or something fresh like that I bet you would be there.

My reasons:

1.) Saw him live twice this year, both times set me back finacially

2.) My Fiance, he's sick of me using our funds to go see Prince, when Im supposed to be saving for our wedding

3.) No one to go with, I went to the 4/29 show with my mom, that about says it all

4.) The same songs over & over again, when P has one of the hugest music catalogs, very disappointing.

5.) I hate cover songs, even when P is singing the covers (Except for Crimson & Clover, & I Cant Make U Love Me) the rest are awful

6.) I live in the U.S aint traveling outside the U.S anytime soon, doesnt look like P's returning to the U.S anytime soon so....

Say what you will about Larry Graham, that man is a musical BADASS..

He kicked some ass in Prince's "Motherless Child" performance from the El Septimo boot. Every member of the band during that song was. on. FIRE! It's a classic imo, and Larry WAS BAD.
