oh yeah "It", I thought it was very boring and generic compared to other tracks on SOTT at the time of first listening.

I grew to like the last third after seeing the Joffrey Ballet dance to it. Believe it or not. So now I like the last third with the gongs quite a bit.

I like it live when he does it all gospel revival style like in the SOTT movie.

Not too many bad tracks released in the '80s IMO.

Maybe the thread title should be "LEAST FAVORITE SONGS".

Initially i tried to come up with one throwaway from each album and i couldn't even do that because there were some albums i just couldn't touch because in my mind they were perfect.

So here's what i could come up with and why.

Take Me With U - light fluff duet with someone that can't sing. i could've done without that one.

U Got The Look - same reason. yes, Sheena has a much better voice but the song was just too fluff. I enjoyed "The Arms Of Orion" much more. (yeah, i said it)

Venus De Milo - Touching Parade at all was hard but in hindsight a barely 2 minute instrumental should've been an entire song. yes, i'm reaching. as i said i found this extremely difficult.

Good Love - one of those songs i think Prince just threw together. the lyrics are ridiculous.

Glam Slam - see above.

Dead On It - Prince trying to rap has been and always shall be a bad idea.

Scandalous - This song always bugged me and i don't know why. I just never liked it. With all the amazing ballads he's done over the years, this one just didn't do it for me.

Eh, I didn't have time earlier today but here it is:

Ronnie, Talk to Russia (Prince and politics, always a horrible combination)

Free (As others have said this ones a bit too cheesy, there were far better tracks that should have been included)

Horny Toad (More of Prince's rockabilly sound, it's not terrible but kind of bland)

I Would Die 4 U (Maybe a controversial choice but this song never did a thing for me)

Around the World in a Day (I salute the attempt to try something different but it's not a terribly interesting song)

It (A bit too repetitive, certainly the weakest song on the album)

Glam Slam ("Glam Slam/Thank you ma'am/You really made my day/I pray you'll always stay?" Terrible lyrics married to a weak song)

Dance On (Too messy and unfocused like much of Lovesexy, this one is pretty weak)

Positivity (Turgid and lugubrious, is it obvious that I am not a fan of Lovesexy?)

The Arms of Orion (I think maybe this song could be redeemed with a solo piano accompaniment but as released it's far too saccharine and treacly)

I love it. Love the video too. Love the end when Cat and Prince take a bow and he removes his eye mask and looks up at her but her eyes are still closed. It's too cute. His crimped hair was on point too.

Good Love is one of my all time favorite all times Jams! Sure the lyrics are kind of playful and a bit ridiculous, BUT to me it's ridiculously designed to convey a clear message, it's good love...lol. "4th of July in every stroke, a symphony of light and sound, ooo, I want 2 die 4rm all the smoke, fire burns when your around..GOOD LOVE" That is genius to me. LOL. To each is own though.

Next is Glam Slam, Ok so by now I think it's safe to say I love Prince's weird, mysterious, and ridiculous tracks...lol. The Lyrics are fantastic in my opinion. Except for the one I can't understand for nothing. "Race cars burns rubbers in my pants" I think he is talking about condoms or something. Lol.

Dead on it...The production is genius, the bass guitar and slick lyrics..I love it. However rapping is definitely not one of his strong points. He has only landed a few successfully and by few I mean 3 in my opinion. Haha.

Next and finally is...U Got The Look. I love it! It has a weird attachment though, sometime it can be extremely annoying because I over play it...But the guitar saves it all the time. I recently discovered "The Arms Of Orion" and the hate people give to it, isn't that all true for me...YET..Haha, I like it, and while listening to it now, I know it will grow on me. As for the rest, I totally agree with you and see where you stand. I hope you feel what I am saying here! Haha
