Feb 17th,HMV will have it for around $63au...while i have heard from MamaLisa in Melbourne that JB HI-FI already have it for $52au.
A total bargain,considering RedEye records in Sydney have been selling it on import for around $130au.
I'll get mine in Melbourne in march if i dont getit in Adelaide by then.

Yeah, it's a touchy subject (considering they're the last real place where u can find some Prince shit), but forget about stock. They fuck the fans over, and love doing it.

They had a great amount of satisfaction telling me they don't stock Uptown (it was like "well, who in their right mind listens 2 Prince anyhow).

They had Prince bootlegs back in the old store (under the American Express building - Now NRMA building). One day they played as their in store music that piece of Jazz music that u hear on THE BEAUTIFUL EXPERIENCE tv movie just before "Acknowledge Me". So I stepped 2 the counter, acting dumb i said 2 them:

"This Is Great, What Is This"?

"We Can't Tell U"

"Why Not"

"It's Not For Sale"

"Can I Have A look At the Cover"?

"No, Sorry, We Can't Help You".

In '92 when Prince was in Sydney all they sold was Prince - Prince UK picture discs, Prince limited edition CD's, Uptown mag u name it - they had it, and charged the earth for it to!

I think that's why half the staff (it seems they have hundreds of staff in that shop sometimes) half follow / respect Prince, cuz they know if they can rip the fams off, it will keep all those guys in the job.

I think they love the fact that he drops multi disc sets almost on a yearly level, it's like BLING BLING season for them.

Think about it, everytime he releases something, they know HMV, Sanity, and any other retailer won't have it. Yet year in and year out, their first delivery drop is like 2 or 3 copies. They sell out right away. Then they generate a demand, yet they will only go ahead and order another 2 or 3 copies. They play Prince Fams like a 3 string guitar.

i looked up on eBay lately 2 c what it was going for,& it was around $20au...what dad paid 4 it.

Crystal Ball 4cd 4 me was $100...pretty good.
also grabbed Lovesexy (tracked) for $20 i think there & some albums,all reasonable price.

but yeah ... best place 4 prince stuff is the cd/record fairs that do the rounds.

Muses r gonna get ONALive here next monday so i will pick it up there.around $60
