i noticed that he ended his 80 and 06 performances the same way. he pushed the mic stand and walked down. did anyone else notice this? Just thought it was cool that he chose to end his performance the same way 26 years later on snl.

Its probably routine for him, and he did it without thought.

Inless he was watching his orginal performance, before the 06 show hmm...

I wouldn't be shocked if SNL requested he duplicate the move during the practice taping (they do the show twice, only one airs).

Deliberate...most likely he re-watched his 80 performance before, or a producer asked him to do it again.
