Going to Minneapolis is there any Prince related things to do left?? Going to Minneapolis for a funeral, aganist my will, but I intend to make the best of it by turning it into a Prince vacation!!
I know of some hotspots where I can get the Prince feel and that MPLS sould like : Minnesota Historical Society museum Cheapo and applause "wreckastow" First ave is a definite! Downtown Hard rock cafe Bunker's music bar and grill Calhoun square Paisley park, well I can drive past it, or at least try to break in
Please tell me if i'm going to the right hot spots, I wanna make sure I dont leave any out! And if you stay in minneapolis, and have nothing to do, let's meet up and paint the town PURPLE!! Will be there from July 5-12
Please fell free to tell me about any events going on, Since I'm going to be there might as well have some fun!!
Thanks in advance <3 I'll shock you with my lips.

Hi there - just a few corrections:
If the house you're referring to is the one in Chanhassen near Paisley Park, that house was torn down a few years ago and all that's left to be seen there now is the guard house. The purple house was long ago torn down as well.
The scene in Purple Rain you're thinking of (I'm assuming the one in which Prince makes Apollonia give him the chain from her boot) wasn't filmed at the Mall of America, as that wasn't even built at that time, ; that scene was filmed in the Crystal Court at the IDS building in Minneapolis.
And you're right about the MOA being a good destination to include on a visit to the Minneapolis area. Especially if you enjoy shopping and people watching! [Edited 7/1/11 23:56pm]

When you go to the Hard Rock Cafe across the street from First Avenue, go through the gift shop up the stairs to the second floor where there is a nice Prince display.

You could always walk down the alley behind the old Glam Slam wearing a police cap with chains on it screaming "until I get your daughter, I won't leave this town!" It's actually a lot more common then you'd think.

What about the kids house in the Purple Rain movie?
Or the infamous river scene where Apollonia jumps in that was suppose to be Lake Minnetonka?
First Ave
Alsphabet St.
Prince first house he bought in Edina.
Prince's apartment in Uptown.
Old location of Chris moon. Yea it's gone but thats where the magic started.
Church where he was married (hey you asked).
THe old Ruperts night club where he recorded Nothing COmpares to you live.
THe old Pacific CLub, his old hang out.
Rudolphs in Uptown, another old Prince favorite.
Old NPG store location.
Thats just a few that were not mentioned off the top of my head. I don't know how much would be of interests, but I thought I woudl throw that out there.
