hey guys, i was watching purple rain and u know those paintings prince has on his walls in his room?

does anyone have any pictures of those, especially the one that u can c behind his head when he is listening to the purple rain tape? thanks

I remember rewinding the movie back countless times to see if I could get a better look around his luxurious head, but of course, to no prevail

I love the 'realness' of the movie, I love looking around the bedroom or halls or dressing room to see what's happening behind and around Prince

Of course this 1st one, most people are concentrating on the action [God the Love Theme] but take a look around the room behind them. I love that 'beautiful ones' face near the bottom right hand corner

I still believe those were posters. In fact, since I grew up in the 80s I actually can remember seeing those posters at like, Woolworths, and thinking to myself, "hey! those were in Purple Rain!" Suddenly, those Woolworth posters were cool.

The poster is different hearts and buttons, if my memory serves me right. I like it.

yes there are alot of drawings and posters around the room, but im talking about the big black paintings of faces painted right onto the walls.
u know the one u c when he is in his room when he is eating Doritos, and listening to wendy and lisa's tape, and right before his parents come in?

I believe the OP is talking about the wall painting that looks like Prince (most likely created by same artist and technique as the When Doves Cry face and the other posters/paintings in his room), but we could only see barely half of it because most his head is in the screenshot.

Kinda surprised u guys aren't getting it at this point. Scene where he's waiting up for Apollonia & writing in notebook, looks at his trench coat, grabs Doritos & gets up to dig the cassette out his pocket, stalks over to radio and places cassette in there, punches play, sits down on bed and takes a breath as music overflows the room. There we can kinda see it. Camera goes to equilizer again, then back to Prince as he closes his eyes where can barely see it.

Yeah I agree the one in the corner of that one shot looks more like a Nagel painting than the When Doves Cry face

thank you, u r the only person who seems to understand. If someone happened to know the name of the artist that created the when doves cry paining that would b helpful also, if not its fine, thanks for trying.
