I live in Vegas. There is a Prince and Time tribute band called "Purple Reign". They play at the Hooters hotel. I was skeptical at first for obvious reasons, but was floored after seeing them. They performed all long versions of the classics complete with the choreography from the videos and concerts. They look like most of the band members. It was nice to hear the songs I love not condensed to medleys. It is almost like the 1999 tour without Vanity6. Any fan in town during the weekend should check them out. All music no attitude.

I saw them in Vegas a couple of years back at House Of Blues. Enjoyed the Prince stuff but got bored by The Time segment.

Preferred Purple Rain the tribute band in the UK to be honest.

I too caught this whilst in Vegas for my wife's birthday. I was impressed at how good they were. My wife had never heard The Time before, so she kind of switched off at the points in the show that The Time performed, whilst I loved this part equally.

I would recommend anybody going to Vegas to check them out. The Hooters hotel is a bit of a dive, but it's worth it!

(Also, there are plenty of voucher books in Vegas where you can get a great deal for Purple Reign, so it's one of the cheaper nights out).
