I agree that it should've been a 2 CD album.
It's just too much, even for an avid prince fan, to take in 3 hours for one album. Especially as i felt some songs were good, but he might of been better leaving them off.

Disc 2, btw, is just beautiful.

Theres a lot of different styles of music on this album & everyone has tracks they like stylisticly & tracks they dont. But for each person those tracks are different & Ive always thought emancipation was a very clever marketing technique, many songs in different styles ensures that theres something for everyone.

I bet many people agree that it should have been a double album but I know the track list is different for each person
