I'm so glad I live in Norway, don't have to be afraid of creepy people claiming that some Prince music is the devils work. Over here they just think it's gay or wierd. Never understood the thing with his exaggerated sex image to sell records. My experience is that his whole image is rather doing the opposite. He is scaring the shit out of potential buyers both with his visual image, his way of super intimate singing and lyrics that is not suitable for any family party. I've never understood this.

If you can't be nice to someone on the net, you probably ain't worth much talking to in real life either.

Throwing away someone's collection is idiotic. Thinking that what artists do is coming from a place of evil? Maybe at times - but they're just coming up with stuff to entertain. Why can't some people treat a CD like they're watching a movie... it doesn't mean the person singing it experienced everything they're singing about. Prince has sung "in character" plenty of times.

That's when you start looking around for something you know they love , even if it's just this insigificant household item, make it disappear, and see if they notice. I'm not saying go for something expensive, but a prized possession can come in a variety of things.

You can rebuild your memorabilia. But it sucks when it's an act of nature, and it's the actual musician whose stuff was destroyed in a fire or flood.

Once you're 18 and leaving home, send it off somewhere that no one's going to touch your stuff. When you move, you need to keep your stuff boxed and sealed up good, and labeled in such a way that they have no reason to go into your boxes.

And I'm still mad as hell

I suddenly wanna ask how old you are.

If you're a minor - then honestly, you shouldn't be listening to Prince yet anyway. Most of his subject matter is way too adult for you.

Wait till you're about 20-21, like I did. *nods*

sad OMG, I think I would die. I am so sorry for you! I think I am only missing just one and it was on cassette. Of course these days with Ebay you can replace whatever you had because people do not realize what they have!. Yep, I think I would still be extremely pissed off if my parents tossed out any of my Prince or any other music for that matter.... neutral

Peace, love and Music
