Prince revisiting New Wave phase?

Prince use elements of his music from golden era

but he never really

dubbled in New Wave style

like he did on album like Controversy.

Prince reintroducing those kind of singing and edgy keyboard

and guitar riffs with creative drum programing with a use of deley echo and good production could be a great result or disaster smile

I think 1999 and Purple Rain albums had a lot of New Wave influence too.

Dirty Mind touched on it, Countroversy opened it up and I agree 1999 & Purple Rain had good NW elements... Including a few tracks like Vanity 6's Make Up and a few others
