DVD compilations of TV appearances question

Hi y'all smile

I'm a bit pissed because I've downloaded several torrents of TV appearances and I have more to get (it's very long from where I am) and I realize that different collections don't feature the same years on a DVD (like one will be 2004-2006 and another 2005-2007) and I'd like to avoid dupes AND to have everything.

So is there a definitive collection of TV apperances or am I supposed to go insane trying to find my way between the "TV appearances", "Sound&Vision", "2KTV", "LotusTV", etc series?

Thanks biggrin

Hi databank.

Afaik, there is no 1 series of dvd's that cover everything, from the start of his career till now. However, some of the titles you mention are very good indeed. I personally would avoid the Sound & Vision series if picture quality is top of your list, but that is just me.

Also, make sure you get the "Lotus TV - The Right Way," it's a strange title, but it is a far superior fan made version of the Lotus TV collection. The 2KTV series are good, and there is also the "Freedom" dvd's, 1,2 and 3, I like them.

There are a lot of these collections floating around (as you are bound to be aware) with varying quality, it's never ending really.

Good luck, if I think of any more good ones, I will let you know.

"Emancipation Day" by Digital Funk Bitch is another good one, great quality.

They also do the "Emancipation Interviews" dvd, which is a great round up of all the Emancipation era interview stuff.

royal visions vols 1-8 is one of the most comprehensive collections of music videos, but for tv stuff you just have to trawl through various collections like sound and vision, ptv1&2, freedom, and the sets simply called "tv appearances". you also have the gold files, the magnoli files, ryde dyvine neo manifesto, emancipation day, much more music etc. theres just so many tv performances you would have a massive volume to go through, and where would you draw the line? missing out full shows like lovesexy, edited ones like detroit 86?
